On our blog, we share news, opinions, and our vision on business mediation. This way, we stay sharp and informed, and we bring you along with us.

Do you recognize the phenomenon that people you know from the past, assume you are still acting in a certain way because they think they know you?

In reality you have grown as a person, you have learned from life or changed the way you look at things. You do not fit that old picture, they have of you, anymore.

I call this phenomenon the Cardboard Outcut. You developed as a person but your surrounding is still (re)acting on the ‘former you’.

We see this often happening when people are Cofounding with former colleagues. You worked together in a former company, for example a corporate. You believe it is a match in heaven and ask this former colleague to join your startup as a cofounder.

But a corporate is not a startup or a scaleup. You acted on the context instead on the person. A Cardboard Outcut.

A True Conversation is here to repair the gap. For more True Conversations please see www.Partner-Mediation.com

When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change.
